Remember of the scent of the old days

Every night, when the city lights up, the scent of incense rises up in the air, wafting from the neighbor's house. The habit of burning incense and praying every night of that host involuntarily reminded me of the scent of incense in the old days.

When I was a child, my house lived near a family who made incense (incense). That house makes many different types, but the most obvious smell is incense. However, every day, hearing the scent wafting in the air makes me sick, so whenever my mother lights incense to worship my grandparents or on New Year's holidays, the scent only makes me more uncomfortable even though the incense is praised as fragrant. . However, when that house moved to another place, I realized that not only did it become familiar, but that scent was also associated with my whole childhood.

Feeling the scent of frankincense wafting through the air and reminiscing about old things is an interesting experience

In the days leading up to Tet, in the house, mothers in the past used to have a box of incense sticks as an indispensable dish to make New Year's Eve sacred. Even if there is no scent, there is no Tet atmosphere. Yet I, like many women of this generation, never burn incense in the house, even though I still remember my mother's words: "There is a spirit of worship, and there is auspiciousness".

There was a night when going back to meet cold rain, the scent of incense from the house next door sneaked into the door, making the space feel warm. When life is too stressful, I often look to scents to relax and dispel fatigue. Unlike convenient and safe electric incense sticks, or essential oils with scents ranging from chemicals to nature, the scent of frankincense always causes a special and difficult feeling. In the midst of the chaotic flow of life, listening to the scent of incense suddenly feels poetic and strangely calm. Feeling the scent of frankincense wafting through the air and reminiscing about the old days is an interesting experience.

Have you ever found your soul relieved, just want to slow down when you hear a scent in the gentle wind?
