Truc Lam Yen Tu is a line of meditation in the world
Truc Lam Yen Tu sect is associated with King Tran Nhan Tong, he was the third king of the Tran dynasty, a noble, a heroic king who led the resistance war to stop the Nguyen - Mong great flood. at that time. He was instrumental in turning the Tran dynasty in the 13th century into the most intelligent, peaceful and prosperous dynasty in the history of Dai Viet. However, just like King Tran Thai Tong did not like to be king, he once escaped to Yen Tu mountain to become a monk but could not. After that, he returned to fulfill his responsibilities as a king and as a monk. The country is peaceful, he is ready to give up a noble life to become a monk and witness the Way, spreading the truth of enlightenment everywhere so that everyone can benefit. From the court to the people in the countryside, he taught according to each person's ability. Intellectuals are educated according to intellectuals; The common people are educated according to the common people. The purpose is to help people transform their delusions and follow the path of goodness, so that society can go up.
Truc Lam Yen Tu sect has the essence of an incarnated spirit, that is, bringing Buddhism into people's hearts and bringing religion into life. After leaving home, King Tran Nhan Tong let go of everything and devoted himself to spiritual practice. After that, he traveled everywhere to spread the Dharma, advising people to give up superstitious practices, practice the ten good deeds, keep the five precepts... If you want to find the way to enlightenment, you can't give up this world. With the bodhisattva's spirit, the Buddha's son must engage in life, work with sentient beings, rejoice with the joy of the country, suffer with the pain of the nation, and teach people depending on the conditions.

Truc Lam Yen is a line of meditation entering the world, so during the time of Tam To Truc Lam, there were many monks, nuns, officials, and ordinary people who practiced enlightenment. They can subtly apply the Buddhadharma in teaching, pacifying the people, and ruling the country. Religion and life are always linked together, promoting wisdom and solidarity in each Vietnamese person to create the strength to make glorious feats and defeat many invaders. Bringing religion to life in many ways suitable for each age group, helping everyone to practice and benefit the world. If we have full faith and right view, even though we live and work for the world, we still know how to keep ourselves, do not live contrary to the Way, carefully understand cause and effect, and do not "forget about ourselves according to things", etc. is the form at home, but the mind can go forth. “We have to be flexible about Buddhism in all aspects, and the Buddhist energy is abundant through the language actions of lay Buddhists. If Buddhists know how to partially apply the Buddha's teachings to individuals and families, the Buddhadharma will last and develop forever." (HT.Thich Thanh Tu)
Responsibility of a Buddhist in life
Buddhists, in addition to fulfilling their obligations in the family and society, also have the responsibility to stay close to and maintain the attachment to the Three Jewels (Illustration image - Source: Internet)
It is the responsibility of the Buddha's children to always skillfully accompany everyone. Always direct them to the values of truth, goodness and beauty; Colleagues, friends or customers who encounter difficult problems always listen and advise the right Dharma; eliminate mistakes in notions, superstitious practices, etc. But in order to do these things, it is imperative that each of us develop bodhicitta to practice, practice the Bodhisattva path, and work diligently to develop the masterless wisdom. If you do not grasp the cause and effect, the correct Dharma of Buddhism, you will distort your thoughts, and if you spread superstition, you will not only have no merit, but on the contrary, create many bad karmas.
Buddhists, in addition to fulfilling their obligations in the family and society, also have the responsibility to stay close to and maintain the association with the Three Jewels. Because protecting the Three Jewels is often still in the world, for spreading the Dharma for the benefit of sentient beings, and closely serving the Three Jewels so that the Buddhist lifeline is perpetuated.
